Role for Postgraduates
- Preparing the necessary cadres for this specialization from graduates of the faculty and other faculties.
- Granting diploma and Master's degrees.
- Providing the necessary expertise to assist the education sector in the faculty.
- Conducting applied research and studies necessary to raise the efficiency of education inside and outside the faculty.
- Holding training courses and workshops in the field of Medical Education.
Role for Undergraduates
-It is responsible of planning and teaching the introductory block for the new comers which prepares students for the new educational strategies that they will deal with. These strategies are Problem- Based learning (PBL), Community Based Education (CBE), Student- Centered Education including self-learning and student assessment methods.
- It is responsible for Teaching topics related in Medical Education in Foundation II Module and also elective courses related to medical Education like Management and Leadership in Health Professions.
- Medical Education members participate in all committees related to education like Curriculum Committee, OSCE Committee, MCQs Committee, MEQs Committee, Problem Formulation Committee and Portfolio Committee. Besides their role in curriculum updates and reform.
